Varying developments in household customer prices
New electricity customers paid more in July than in June, while existing customers paid less. Gas prices for household customers fell. Electricity prices for industrial customers were higher than in June.
The modelled electricity price for new household customers increased slightly in July. At 36.52 ct/kWh, the price was slightly above that of the previous month (36.13 ct/kWh). By contrast, the price for existing customers fell slightly from 36.00 ct/kWh in June to 35.94 ct/kWh in July.
The dynamic electricity price decreased in July to 38.45 ct/MWh compared with 39.49 ct/kWh in June.
Electricity prices for industrial customers were higher in July. The industrial electricity price including all possible reductions was 11.45 ct/kWh (June: 10.83 ct/kWh), without reductions it was 17.22 ct/kWh (June: 16.60 ct/kWh).
Gas prices for household customers were slightly lower. The price for new customers fell from 10.59 ct/kWh in June to 10.50 ct/kWh in July and the price for existing customers from 10.40 ct/kWh to 10.38 ct/kWh.
