Increase in energy price indices for new customers
Unlike the indices for new electricity and gas customers, the indices for existing customers are lower. There was a minimal decrease in the modelled industrial electricity prices.
The household customers price index for new electricity customers for July is 105.7 points, 0.1 points above the previous month’s index of 105.6. The index for existing customers is 0.9 points down, from 110.3 in June to 109.4 in July.
The household customers price index for new gas customers is 170.6 points, 1.8 points above the previous month’s figure of 168.8. The index for existing customers for July is 1.5 points down at 173.0 points.
There was a minimal decrease in the modelled industrial electricity prices in June. The price for customers with the maximum price reductions fell by 0.01 ct/kWh to 10.06 ct/KWh. The price for customers without reductions also fell by 0.01 ct/kWh, to 16.35 ct/kWh.
