Slight decrease in electricity and gas prices for household customers

Prices for industrial customers also fell in April.

The price index for new household electricity customers for May is 103.9, down 0.8 points on the previous month’s figure. The index for existing customers is 0.9 points down at 111.2. Both indices are therefore slightly higher than in the base month of January 2021.

There were larger decreases in the gas price indices. The price index for new customers is 3.3 points lower than in April at 167.2, while that for existing customers is 1.4 points lower at 176.0.

The modelle industrial electricity prices for customers with the highest possible discounts fell from 10.46 ct/kWh in March to 9.9 ct/kWh in April. The price for customers without discounts was 16.2 ct/kWh, compared to 16.75 ct/kWh in March. The price index for customers with discounts fell to 140.14 points and for customers without to 90.54 points.
