Power plant map updated
The power plants that can be viewed in the “German electricity market” section have been updated
SMARD offers the opportunity to view key figures of all Germany’s major power plants in its “German electricity market” section. You can access the energy sources used, operator, control area, location and nominal capacity of the listed power plants. Feed-in time series for generation units with an installed net nominal capacity of at least 100 MW are also available (five days after generation). They can also be downloaded from the "Data download" section.
The updated power plant list is available for access on SMARD. It is now based on the core energy market data register (MaStR). Power plant operators are required by law to report the data of their generation units to the MaStR.
All power plants with individual generation units of at least 1 MW of installed nominal capacity and at least 10 MW of total capacity are shown, as are some power plants near the borders to Germany in other countries. Wind and solar installations are not included as these consist of so many small generation units that it would make the map too difficult to read.
The power plant list is updated several times a year.
