New plant capacity and plant closures (coal phaseout, nuclear phaseout, new plants, …) constantly change the amount of capacity. Every year since 2011 the Bundesnetzagentur has made a record of the installed net rated capacity on 31 December. This development is shown in this chart. It contains the capacity on the electricity market and outside the electricity market.
